This is a joint project of Vet Crew and Notpfote, the goal of which is to give a second chance to dogs and cats rescued from the Ukrainian front lines.
We are two organizations with very similar missions united to help as many animals as possible along the way. Vet Crew takes on the part of rescuing animals from hotspots, provides temporary shelter in the Odesa region, as well as, if necessary, treatment, vaccination, castration and sterilization. Notpfote has built a large and suitable shelter for longer-term living of animals in the west of Ukraine, which is located in a fairly safe place and is a life-saving bridge between the warring country and the rest of the world for many animals. They are fully responsible for adoptions, preparing animals for this step, as well as a family that will be ready for this.
Adopting an animal through this project is an important way to support the mission of two independent charitable organizations. By welcoming a loving dog or cat into your home, you not only provide them with a caring environment, but you also open up space for another animal in need.
We would be happy if you found a suitable family member for yourself, because we have many animals with different needs and personalities who are looking for their forever home. But you should know that most of our rescued animals have had a difficult past, and that is why we strive to be transparent and honest in the adoption application process and we consider each of them individually.

My name is Lola and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was rescued by Ukrainian soldiers right during the brutal fighting on the front lines in the East of Ukraine.
I am a very sweet girl and not very big so I will not take up much space. I love human attention, so I will be happy to spend a lot of time with my family who will adopt me.
I am inquisitive and love to explore everything during walks. I can be a bit mischievous, so it is important that my new family has a safe fenced garden.
And I am always happy to see you and make people happy. I am smart and very trainable, and well socialized with other dogs.
The family that adopts me can be sure that no matter how big it is, I will love every part of it.

My name is Leila and I am a mixed breed dog.
I am a small and very affectionate girl. I love people very much. Everyone says that I am the most sociable dog in the shelter, and I guess that's true.
Once upon a time I had a family. They hugged me and then I felt like the happiest dog in the world. But one day something happened. There was shooting all around, people were screaming, and I was left alone, right in the war zone. I waited for a long time, thinking that they would come back, but this never happened. Kind people found me and brought me to the shelter. Since then I have been here, and every time someone enters our yard, I run to meet them, thinking that this person has come specifically for me.
I am careful with other dogs because I don't always know what to expect from them. But with people, I am always ready to be there.
I can't stop believing that one day someone will come for me and take me home. I am very attached to people, I need to feel their warmth, see their smiles, and hear kind words. Only then can I be truly happy.

My name is Tobey and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was rescued from a destroyed school in the Kherson region. There, among the rubble and constant loud sounds, I was all alone. And all I had there was fear.
I am much better now, but communication is still very difficult for me. I don't trust people, but I love the company of other dogs, they help me cope with all my problems.
To be honest, my fear is stronger than me at the moment. But I am quite curious. I want to know what the world is like when there is no fear. I look at people with caution, but I think they can be kind.
I still need a long rehabilitation after what happened to me, but I am sure that with the right person I will succeed.

My name is Gracie and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was rescued in Bakhmut during heavy fighting on the front lines.
I am the shyest dog in the shelter, it took me a long time to adjust to my surroundings and I still get nervous around new people or those I haven't spent much time with.
I am afraid of thunderstorms and any loud frightening noises, so I need to find a home with a calm and relaxing environment.
I need an experienced owner who understands my behavior and will give me patience, time and space to adjust.
Once I feel comfortable and learn to trust you, you will see a different side of me. I am sweet, loving and loyal and can be very playful.
I enjoy the company of other dogs, they give me confidence.

My name is Jessy and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was rescued by the military from one of their points where it was very noisy and scary.
I am still learning to trust people, so I am still often afraid of strangers and bark to protect myself, but this is just my little armor. But I am very comfortable in the company of other dogs, with them I feel more confident. So I am always happy with such companies.
I need experienced owners. However, I am sure that if you are ready to work with me and show that the world is not so scary, I am sure that I can become your faithful friend.

My name is Chikita and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was rescued on the front line in the Kherson region. I was alone and so I was used to relying only on myself. But in the shelter I met Shaggy, he became my best friend, before him I was not used to any communication.
It is still difficult for me to understand people and I keep my distance from them. I have never been petted or hugged, and I do not know what it is like to trust people. I am calm with other dogs, but I do not seek their company. I just exist, trying not to attract attention to myself. This is what the street taught me to do.
I do not know what a home is, but maybe one day I will be able to understand what trust and love are.
Because of my difficult past life, I will need an experienced owner. I will be glad if there is a very patient person in this world who will give me a chance to be not just a "dog from the street", but a real friend.
My name is Shaggy and I am a mixed breed dog.
I am one of the shyest dogs in the shelter. For a long time I did not know what a home and care were, because I spent most of my life on the street, without human care. So to be honest, I am working on it, but I am still afraid of people, because I never knew that they could be kind.
I made one friend in the shelter, Chikita. We came to the shelter on the same day and went through a lot together. We always support each other, and I would really like to never be separated. She is my best friend and next to her I feel a little more confident.
I am already an adult, but despite this, I need an experienced owner who will be ready to accept all my fears and work on them.
What I can say for sure is that I will be grateful to you all my life if you help me find my place in this world.

My name is Black and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was rescued from the front line. Everything around was thundering, and the world became scary and incomprehensible to me. People were running, hiding, and I was left alone, not knowing where to go and who to trust.
Since then, I am afraid of everything: loud sounds, strangers, even sudden movements. I learned to hide, because this world is not always safe. I do not trust people because I do not know what to expect from them. I am calm with other dogs, they do not scare me, but I do not seek their friendship.
Maybe one day I will understand that not all people cause pain. So I need an experienced owner who will show patience, care and can teach me not to be so afraid.
I know that it will not be easy, but I believe that somewhere there is a person who can help me see another, calmer world and for whom I will become a true best friend.

My name is Comet and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was rescued from the front line. It was very loud around and one day a rocket fell very close to me. I remember how everything was shaking, and then there was silence, which made it even scarier.
Since then, I have learned to live in the shadows, trying not to attract attention to myself. I am very timid and cautious. Sometimes I want to approach people, but something inside stops me. I am afraid that they might offend me, as it happened before.
I am indifferent to other dogs. They are here - and that's good, but I don't need their company. The main thing is to just feel safe. People... I don't know how to treat them. Sometimes they seem kind, sometimes too scary. But I heard that there are those who can give care and teach not to be afraid.
I really need someone who will show me patience and teach me to be braver. I need a little time to believe that this world may not be so scary. I'm waiting for someone who will show me what real care and love are.

My name is Partos and I am a mixed breed dog.
I lived for a long time in a position with the military, but it was time to move and they couldn't take me with them, so they brought me to the shelter.
I am a great guard dog - always alert and ready to protect my beloved people. I am kind and friendly with them, I love to cuddle and play, especially if you are an active person like me.
We could run together, walk in parks or just have fun. I am still working on it, but for now it is hard for me to be around other dogs. But I am a loyal and devoted friend to people. I am also very trainable and learn new commands quickly.
I can't wait to find my new home!

My name is Carly and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was not alone when I came to the shelter, my brother Benny was with me (you can meet him too, if you want). We were born in a very unusual place, in a destroyed tank, which became our home. It was very noisy and scary around, so this tank became the safest place for us.
Despite all the difficulties that my brother and I have gone through, I really like to explore the world around me and I always want to run, play and learn something new.
I'm still afraid of loud noises or strangers, so I need time to get used to it, but as soon as I understand that you are a friend, I will run to you first! I communicate cautiously with other dogs, but if I am given the opportunity, I am ready to become the most cheerful and devoted companion for any creature.
I will be happy if the family that adopts me has a house with a garden where I can play and spend most of my time. I love open space and I don't like loneliness.
If you are looking for an active friend who will be with you in any adventure, I am waiting for you.

I was found in a destroyed tank in a war zone. My sister (Carly) and I took refuge inside this huge thing when it was very loud around us. Since then, fear has been a part of my life. I grew up listening to the rumble and noise, so I learned to hide and try not to attract attention.
So I am very timid and afraid of many things, but if you are patient with me, I can change. I just need time to get used to a new person, to understand that I will be okay.

My name is Mul’tik and I am a Chihuahua.
I was one of those who were saved in one big rescue mission from the front line in the Kharkov direction (then, about 20 dogs were saved). There I was part of illegal and uncontrolled breeding all my life, I lived in a very small cage with a lot of other dogs, we were almost never outside it, we did not have the necessary care, food and of course we had no idea what love from people was. In the end, I and many other dogs were abandoned in the middle of the war. Constant shelling, hunger and real fear engulfed us and we did not believe that the day would come when we would be taken from there.
After my rescue, my life got better. I learned that there are kind people who will not need anything from me. And I really opened up to them. They constantly tell me that I am one of the nicest and most unusual boys in the shelter. Because I have a very unusual face and eyes. And despite my age, I am always ready to actively spend time with them and other dogs. I am also often told that I am like an "anti-stress". I feel when someone has had a bad day, so I climb into their arms and can sit on them for hours to help my person hide from bad emotions. I also really enjoy spending time in the car and am always ready for new adventures.
Life before my rescue was unfair to me, but now I know exactly what love is and that very soon my family will find me, because I am ready to give my heart to them.

After my rescue I learned that in this world, beyond the small cage I lived in before, there are good people who don't need anything from me. And I realized that life can be different. I also realized that I love to play with everyone around me, walk, ride in cars and that I am always ready for new adventures.
I hope my family will find me very soon and despite my age and other problems that I went through, our hearts will stay together forever.

It has become very important for me to spend as much time as possible with people, and it also turns out that I love walking outside, playing, traveling in the car and exploring this completely new world for me. Sometimes it is not easy for me because of my health and my age. I was used only as a reproduction machine before and that is why this is happening to me now. But I am sure that there are no unsolvable issues and despite this I will be able to find my family.
I can't wait for that to happen. I will be ready to give my whole life and my whole heart to the one who decides to adopt me.

My name is T-800 and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was rescued from the front line of Kherson at a very difficult moment right during the drone attack. My rescuers, me and two other puppies almost died that day, but everything worked out.
I don't really remember my life as a street dog or as someone who spent a lot of time in a hotspot because when I was found I was a very small puppy, but without a mother, very hungry, frozen and scared.
At the shelter, everyone tells me that I am one of the bravest puppies. My favorite vet said that I am not afraid even of injections and it is true. I sat quietly and obeyed when I was treated after the rescue. I am also quite calm with other dogs and animals. I am not aggressive, ready to meet any of them, at first I can doubt a new friendship, but usually this feeling quickly passes.
What I can say for sure is that I am ready to spend all my time with my person. I love when people play with me and pet me, I can calmly lie in the arms of anyone who is ready for this, even all day long.
I don't know exactly when it will happen, but I'm looking forward to meeting my family, I know that I will be the perfect companion and friend for anyone who is ready to adopt me.

My name is Vira and I am a mixed breed dog.
My sister and I were rescued from the front line in the Kherson area. There we knew only terrible fear and hunger. On the day of our rescue, our rescuers and we almost died from a military drone. It attacked our car during the evacuation, but everything worked out and everyone survived.
I remember that at the time of our rescue, my sister and I had not seen our mother for a long time, we were very exhausted and could hardly move from the cold. And we are very grateful that our rescuers evacuated us from there, gave us a safe place, cured us and showed that love still exists.
At the shelter, I met a lot of new dogs. I can’t say that I love all of them, but what I can say for sure is that if I need it, I can find a common language with any of them or, if I don’t like something, stand up for myself. My sister is more shy, I’m not like that at all. I have character and perseverance. This is what allowed us to survive in a hot spot and this is what will allow me to say that I am always one hundred percent ready for a new challenge.
I will follow my person even to very high mountains as a climber or fly, as an astronaut, into space. It does not matter where it is - I will be there for my loving person in order to support or help with everything I can.
My name is Flora and I am a mixed breed dog.
My sister and I were rescued from the front line in the Kherson area. On the day of our rescue, our rescuers and we almost died from a military drone. It attacked our car during the evacuation, but everything worked out and everyone survived.
All I remember from my life before my rescue is only the terrible noise from the explosions and unbearable hunger. My sister at some point replaced my mother and so that I could survive, she gave me all the warmth of her body. And this is what gave me the opportunity to last a little longer. I think that if our rescuers had not found us on that terrible and very loud day, we would definitely not have been able to go through this and our existence would have ended that same day.
After our evacuation, in the shelter, we met a lot of other dogs and people who turn out to be kind and considerate. At first, it was very difficult for me to trust anyone other than my sister, but then she showed by her example that everything can be different.
I am shy, but I am very kind. Some things, new steps, can scare me, but I am just learning and after my past, it is not surprising that something can be more difficult for me than for other dogs.
I am still a puppy, but I know that if someone is ready to adopt me, I will give him all of myself without reserve.

My name is Lucky and I am a mixed breed dog.
I was saved completely by accident and not like many other dogs I met at the shelter after that.
I don't remember exactly how or why, but one man caught me, tied me up, almost breaking my legs and ribs, put me in a bag and took me away, clearly planning something very bad.
As my rescuers explained to me later, he was taking me to the sea to drown me. I was very scared and I did not understand at all why I deserved this. After all, I was still very little, just born and did not have time to do anything bad to anyone.
My rescuers saw that man and me in the bag completely by accident when they were riding on the way to their work. That man tied the bag with me to his bike and did it so hard that I could hardly breathe, but I continued to fight with all my might. So my rescuers realized that there was something alive in the bag and no matter how that man said the opposite, they insisted on showing what was in the bag. Afterwards, I only remember the harsh light and already warm hugs, which gave me the opportunity to believe that good people exist.
At first, everything in the shelter scared me very much. But after, I adapted and realized that I love to play with other dogs and people. I also know that I am very kind, gentle and always ready for a new acquaintance. I have never been on the front line or in a hot spot like other dogs I met here at the shelter, but in my short life I have learned what human cruelty is.
Despite the fact that I am still a puppy, I know that I will be the best friend for someone who is ready to adopt me. I will give all my affection, kindness and warmth to my family.
