My name is Grey and I am a Russian Blue cat.
Once upon a time I was a house kitten. I had a warm corner, a soft bed and my beloved brother. We slept cuddled up to each other, chasing shadows and believing that the whole world was concentrated in our room.
But one day everything changed. The people I knew abandoned us. My brother and I were simply carried out and left outside the gate. Without any explanation.
We waited for a long time near the house, hoping that it was a mistake, that the doors would open again, that they would call us, but this did not happen. And at some point we realized that we were completely alone and had to cope with our problems ourselves. We hid, looked for food where we could, and at night we huddled close to each other so as not to freeze. We had to experience terrible things, there were many explosions, tanks, endless pain and fear.
But one day we were spotted by some soldiers. They saw us purely by chance - two gray cats curled up in the shadow of a concrete slab. One of them sat down, put a piece of food next to us and said: "You are just babies...". We did not resist and simply trusted. Something inside told us that these people were good and only wanted to help us.
That's how the two of us ended up in the shelter. Here, in honor of a new life, I was given the name Gray, and my brother Sirius. And you know, despite everything that happened to us in the past, everyone here at the shelter never stops saying that we are the most gentle boys. And yes, it's true. My brother and I have not stopped loving people. For us, their attention remains the main thing and we simply adore spending time with them. I also love the company of any other cats, not just my brother, I easily find a language with everyone.
I am a cat who knows how painful it is to be abandoned, but at the same time still knows how to love no matter what. I know that I will be the perfect companion for anyone and will take the biggest place in the heart of anyone who decides to adopt me.
